The business unit Special Metals Technology has one of the largest electron beam melter for tantalum, niobium and their alloys in Europe. Through many years of experience in the manufacture and handling of high-purity and special materials, gained through close teamwork with international research institutes and standards committees, the business unit Special Metals Technology processes comprehensive knowledge of the materials, their properties and potential technologies.
Vacuum arc furnaces for melting special alloys are also available.
Besides the Ingot production for manufacturing department the business unit Special Metals Technology offers also a
toll smelting .
