In the business unit Special Metals Technology it is possible to anneal under air, under protective gas atmosphere (for example helium, argon) or under treatment gas atmosphere (for example hydrogen, forming gas) and under technical vacuum environment with pressures of 10 - 8 milibar.
Depending on the specific equipment used, temperatures up to 1,700 °C (protective and treatment gas) 2,500 °C (vacuum) can be reached respectively. The size of the annealing chamber depends on the used equipment.
